(Portland, Ore.)— Habitat for Humanity Portland/Metro East’s House That Beer Built Program is unique partnership between Habitat and 20 local breweries. On November 15th, after months of fundraising, brewery representatives will come together to swing hammers and raise walls on a home located at Habitat’s Cully build site.

“From the beginning, Widmer Brothers Brewing has been committed to supporting our Portland home,” stated to Julia Person, Sustainability Manager at Widmer Brothers Brewing. “Partnering with Habitat for Humanity on The House that Beer Built project is another great opportunity to roll up our sleeves, share resources, and work together to give back to the community in a meaningful and tangible way.”

This exciting collaboration celebrates the strength and creativity of Oregon’s craft beer industry, along with its passion for community involvement. Since its kickoff in June 2018, participating breweries and businesses have raised funds through tap takeovers, sales promotions and special events with the goal fully sponsoring a home for a Portland family.
