Habitat for Humanity Portland Region proudly announces the appointment of three new members to the board of directors. This brings the total number of board members to 23.
Joining the board of directors are Amy Malagamba (The Standard), Gabriela Mann (The GM Group), and Youtheary Sim (Sweet T Bakery).
Nancy Lee continues to serve as chair of the board. Lee has been actively involved with Habitat since 2019 and joined the board in 2022.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Amy, Gabriela, and Youtheary to Habitat’s Board of Directors,” shared Nancy Lee. “Each brings unique experience, perspective, and a deep commitment to our community. We look forward to working alongside them as we continue Habitat’s work to help more families and individuals access safe, affordable homes throughout the Portland Region.”
Amy Malagamba is Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Standard Insurance Company (The Standard), leading enterprise marketing, brand strategy, creative services, and digital operations. She brings more than 30 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, and investor relations. Malagamba has previously held communications and marketing leadership positions at Tektronix and Mentor Graphics, and has served on the board of Meals on Wheels People.
Gabriela Mann is a bilingual real estate advisor and founder of The GM Group, known for her commitment to housing equity and culturally responsive advocacy. Mann founded the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals Western Oregon chapter and is an active leader in several organizations focused on expanding homeownership access. In May 2026, she was appointed by Governor Tina Kotek to the Racial Justice Council’s Housing and Homelessness Committee.
Youtheary Sim is a community leader and entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in advocacy and business development. A first-generation Cambodian American, she owns a bakery celebrating culture and creativity. Her past leadership roles have focused on supporting women, youth, and families in underserved communities. Sim currently serves on the board for Reed’s Crossing, one of Oregon’s largest mixed-use master-planned communities.
