One year after volunteers raised the first wall with the construction crew, all 23 homes in West Lake Grove are framed. March was packed with progress, bringing this serene, green community closer to welcoming homeowners.
Volunteers made a major impact on this community, building 10 of 23 homes and contributing 13,378 hours in the last year.
West Lake Grove milestones:
- Building 1 has finished construction!
- Building 2 is getting exterior paint.
- Building 3 recently got trusses delivered and is now getting dried-in and roofed. Mechanical, electric, and plumbing rough ins are underway.
- Building 4 was recently framed and is getting its siding now.
- Building 5 is getting its interior carpentry finished with the help of volunteers.
- Building 6 has finished construction!
“It’s an awesome feeling to see all the buildings done a year after putting our first wall up with volunteers,” says Site Superintendent Hector Orozco. With homes framed, the crew is focusing on important next steps like carpentry, siding, and painting. Each task brings the community a step closer to completion.

Hector says the community on site has been beautiful. Volunteers, trade partners, staff, and homebuyers have enjoyed working together.
With homes framed, volunteers are moving on to trim work, painting in Building 4, finishing the Trex and handrails on homes’ decks, and building picnic tables for the nature area that will make a tranquil gathering place.
Looking forward, we’re thrilled to get closer to welcoming homeowners! West Lake Grove is on track to receive Certificates of Occupancy in April and begin welcoming some homeowners in the summer. We’re excited to bring much-needed affordable homeownership to Lake Oswego and see this community full of life!
