At the ReStore, your old stuff can help build homes, too! Did you know that every donated sofa, chair, lamp, sander and sawhorse sold at the ReStore helps raise funds for local Habitat homebuilding projects? You may be tired of the style, but it looks pretty darn good to us!
This month we’re making it even easier to donate home goods and building material.
Starting in May, ReStores in Portland, Beaverton, Gresham and Vancouver will be open 7 days a week from 10am to 6pm. Every day you can drop off donations at all our locations. Every day we will pick up donations. You can even schedule a donation pickup online at pdxrestore.org.
Look for special Sunday-only in-store specials and free workshops moving forward. You can find these posted on our website and on Facebook. Sign up for our monthly newsletter so you don’t miss a thing! Go to http://ow.ly/vq9730jLpo0
Also new in May, the Gresham ReStore will begin selling gently worn clothing, shoes and toys. Yes, even your Patagonia windbreaker and Merrell boots can help build homes now. (Donate clothes and toys at the Gresham ReStore only.)
Thinking of remodeling this summer? Call in the ReStore’s Salvage Service team to remove cabinets, appliances, windows, lighting and doors, etc. We’ll take them to our retail home improvement outlets where they’ll be sold and reused. We are a licensed and bonded contractor, and super affordable, too. To schedule a walk-through–or to watch of video of a complete kitchen removal in seconds–go to pdxrestore.org.
Coming in June, we’ve got something spectacular planned to kick off the summer months. Let’s just say the Timbers will be in the house as they partner with Habitat for Humanity in the Gresham ReStore parking lot during “Stand Together Week.” Details coming soon at pdxrestore.org
