If you’ve volunteered on our construction sites this past year, you are probably familiar with our AmeriCorps construction crew leaders. Andrea, Nathan, Cassie, Jake, and Adam have reached the end of their AmeriCorps terms and are on to exciting new things!
Adam is about to start a road-trip to Mississippi where he will get to spend time with his family and his dog Bruce. He is also pursuing an opportunity with Portland Youth Builders; we are looking forward to working with him in the future!
Andrea is staying in the Portland area and hoping to apply her skills and education in a new job. Our site supervisors are persistent in asking her to return as a volunteer.
Nathan is beginning his third term with Habitat for Humanity as an AmeriCorps and will continue to lead crews on our constructions sites. His experience with construction and positive attitude continue to be a valuable asset for our organization.
Cassie has already begun her next adventure as a Wilderness Ranger for the Cowlitz District. Cassie has a way of empowering volunteers and making for a fun, productive build day.
Join us in thanking each and every one of them for their service and for their dedication to making Portland more affordable for all families.
